You’ll have to get your popcorn somewhere else, though!

New Games Collection

Towanda Public Library Posted on May 8, 2013 by LibraryStaffMay 8, 2013

We have a brand new and exciting collection here at the library: Board Games!

Maybe the only game you’ve ever played is Monopoly.  Well, while we do have classics like Monopoly and Parcheesi, we also have some of the newest award winning games out there.  If you find Monopoly tedious and boring, try King of Tokyo or Ticket to Ride.

If you like to think fast, try Catch Phrase or Set, both of which will keep you on your toes in competition with other players.

Don’t like to compete?  Try Forbidden Island, a unique game where the players work together to beat the game, collect the treasure, and escape before the island sinks.

For lots of laughs, try Quelf or Apples to Apples.  (Apples to Apples is also great for learning vocabulary, and we have the Junior level of the game which is easier for kids to play.)

And if you’re a strategist (whether or not you like Risk!) try Blokus or Settlers of Catan, both of which will have you trying to out-think your opponents.

Games check out for one week, and cannot be returned through the book drop.  Come in and see what the options are, and feel free to ask us if you have any questions!
