We are waiting for the local county health department to advise us how to proceed when we reopen.
We will keep evaluating the situation as we learn more on how to safely reopen.

Towanda Public Library is cancelling the Easter Egg Hunt that was scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2020 due to the “stay-at-home” Executive Order 20-16 issued by Kansas Governor Laura Kelly.
Keep washing those hands and stay home. We will see you when this is all over.
Towanda Public Library is closing during the COVID-19. We will close tonight through March 28, 2020, Saturday. We will decide how to proceed in the next few weeks.
We have the drop box if you want to return items. Your fines will be waived during the closing.

New CDC recommendation: Starting immediately and for the next 8 weeks, CDC recommends cancelling all events of 50 or more people.
Ongoing guidance recommends that, in areas where there is even minimal COVID-19, events likely to include 10 or more people at high-risk for serious issues should be cancelled. People at higher risk include older adults and people who have chronic medical conditions such as lung and heart disease, as well as diabetes.
If there is substantial spread in your area, all gatherings should be cancelled.
