Hello everyone! We hope your 2026 has been off to a great start. We have been busy here at the library and started prepping for this year’s Summer Reading Program: Unearth A Story. Keep an eye out, here and our social media, for updates on schedules.
We are working on getting “Experience Passes” in our library of things for patrons to use for the year. We are looking at passes for the Cosmosphere, Wichita Museums, the Exploration Place, and more!
School is Back!!
School is back in session, and we have added some extra goodies at the library for the kiddos (and everyone else) to enjoy! If they decide to hang-out here until their grown-ups can pick them up, they can enjoy puzzles, board games, and various building blocks. And we are still having Story Time every 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 10:30 am!
2020 Online Summer Reading Program
Although the Towanda Public Library is not open yet, we are still having a Summer Reading Program (for kids & adults) like we have in the past. But instead of a paper log, we will be using the Reader Zone app. Below you will find more info along with our code (2f423) and also a link to directions if you need help. The program will run from May 20th-June 30th. Feel free to read books that you have at home or ones you find online.
On the way to meeting the goal, you can earn drawing tickets for a $10 gift card. Then once the goal is met, you will get to choose between Thunderbird fries & ice cream cone, Gambino’s mini pizza or Hebrews cinnamon roll. This is all totally new to us, so we’re learning too. One more thing, we will also have Virtual Story Times each Wednesday in June right here. Our theme is “Imagine Your Story” so we will focus on fairy tales. Happy Reading!!!!
