If you are frantically scrabbling to work on your novel, then you already know: November is National Novel Writing Month.  Do you have 25,000 words yet?  Because we are already halfway through the month!

If you DON’T know why your friends and family have suddenly gone into hibernation — it’s not the cold.  They are working to finish their novels.  The challenge?  Write 50,000 words of a novel in the month of November.
