Sherlock Holmes: genius, madman, addict, detective.  One of the truly great characters from literature, and so persistent in the minds and hearts of his readers that even when the author, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, tried to kill him off, he ended up bringing Holmes back.  Turned out, even Doyle’s mother complained when Sherlock died!

Through the ages, there have been stage adaptations, movie versions, television versions, comic books and even board game adaptations of the Holmes canon.  On June 17th, we’ll take a look at one of the pivotal moments in the Holmes history, and some of the various ways its been adapted, as well as discussing just what it is that makes Sherlock Holmes so appealing.
